Annual Desert Pond Tour Weekend, Nov. 5-6, 2005
Our 2nd Annual California Desert Pond Tour has a lot in store for you. This year for the first time in the desert,
we have several Pondless Waterfalls on display, a few never before seen water features, large waterfalls that are backed with a wonderful
mountain view, a pond that is highlighted by a miniature train track and a memorial pond, just to list a few, for your viewing pleasure.
On our Inaugural California Desert Tour Event, one of the favorite spots was a pond at the Miller Residence and
they have kindly opened their property and put their pond on display for us again. However neither the pond, nor the house will look the same
because they moved! The amazing thing you need to know is, they moved because they wanted a bigger pond!
On this California tour you’ll find everything from small tranquility ponds that have waterfalls and streams
to a twenty-five foot by forty-foot pond with stunning accent boulders that were set into place in a large waterfall, by means of a crane.
You will have the rare opportunity to visit some wonderful ponds and Pondless Waterfalls at Country Clubs, and private residences that will
be on display for all to photograph and record, pull ideas from and marvel at on this exciting fall weekend.
I’m very proud to tell you about some of the accomplishments we have made over the past year since last
we spoke. Exotic Aquatics has participated and appeared in two ABC’s Extreme Home Makeovers, hosted seven different Ponds for Schools™ programs
at schools across the Inland Empire, hosted our Five Year Anniversary "Pond Construction Seminar" Event at Newell Nurseries, organized a first of it’s
kind; 365 Pond Tour™ (That’s a Tour 365 Days A Year!), was invited to help build a water feature display for The World’s Largest Flower
and Garden Show at the Epcot Center in Florida, went to Arkansas to build a water garden for the P. Allen Smith Show on PBS, moved into a
5500 square foot warehouse to accommodate our companies growth and we took first place in a Nationwide Waterfall Building Contest in
Batavia, Illinois.
We love building waterfalls, ponds and streams, and I am lucky enough to have the opportunity to
wake up every morning and do what I love to do because I rolled up my sleeves fifteen years ago and chased my dreams. Enjoy yourself
this weekend on our 2nd Annual "Desert Pond Tour" and visit the homes of people who let me chase my dreams, right into their backyards!
I have a special place in my heart for all of my customers, clients, and friends, who believed in my sometimes crazy but always
passionate ideas! Take my advice; Work hard, laugh often, one day try sliding into second base headfirst, but take the time to
stop to smell the roses and whatever you do, follow your dreams……
