Thank you for having this contest. It has given our family the opportunity to laugh, hope and dream. I have always enjoyed looking at Koi ponds but never actually knew too much about them. I am amazed at how much I have learned about koi in just the last few weeks. Even more amazing is that my three year old grandson explained to me the differences of the koi's colors and markings.
This pond, as unsightly as it may seem compared to others, has provided opportunities to teach the child about nature, and about caring for and loving his special koi and turtle.
When we see beautiful ponds in the park or at a nursery, my grandson always asks if we could get something for his daddy's pond. He is such a pond enthusiast, I believe he may very well be a future pond builder.

You have been an inspiration to us all. Thank you.

I'm so sad you guys didn't get the pond
It would have been sooooooo cool to see the transformation!! -and such an awesome learning experience to see them built it.
I still have hope though... one day....

Thank you to everyone for your support!  Our family and friends really pulled together to help us out! We all had so much fun with this.  While I can't say that it wasn't disappointing to come up short, we are happy for Graham and look forward to seeing pictures of his new home very soon!

Pond Digger, For some reason our pictures did not get posted. While I wish that I would have cuaght this before I left for Christmas, I am sure that the judges had a look at them. I am going to try to attach a couple here so that family, friends and any visitors to the site can see what we entered.  They will see one ugly pond!!
