Thank you for having this contest. It has given our family the opportunity to laugh, hope and dream. I have always enjoyed looking at Koi ponds but never actually knew too much about them. I am amazed at how much I have learned about koi in just the last few weeks. Even more amazing is that my three year old grandson explained to me the differences of the koi's colors and markings.
This pond, as unsightly as it may seem compared to others, has provided opportunities to teach the child about nature, and about caring for and loving his special koi and turtle.
When we see beautiful ponds in the park or at a nursery, my grandson always asks if we could get something for his daddy's pond. He is such a pond enthusiast, I believe he may very well be a future pond builder.
You have been an inspiration to us all. Thank you.
