Hi folks,
Well, the pond went in yesterday and we still can't believe the new view out of the windows looking into the back yard. Eric's crew showed up right on time at 8am and wrapped things up at about 3pm or so. We were blown away by the proffessionalism his crew showed throughout the process. What a class act!
I think the crew numbered about 8 guys, but to be honest, it's hard to be sure - seemed like guys in blue shirts everywhere at times! Part of the crew was digging, others hauling equipment, rocks, liner, etc. Eric himself would alternate between the "end of a shovel" and playing "artist" with the rock formations. We just turned the yard over to them and tried to stay out of their way! And absolutely no worries about existing sprinkler lines, landscaping, etc. either. The guys carefully dig around things and cap everything off around the pond.
Additionally, even with us trying to stay out of the way, Eric and his crew would take the time to explain things along the way. The entire filtration system was explained, whether it was demonstrateing the backflushing process, the skimmer box, the overflow system, - you name it. And there's no way to descibe the feeling when you insert the plug into the socket and watch, what was a lawn with a slope in your backyard, become a meandering water fall, bubbling it's way down into your new pond.
And to top things off, when finished, these guys quickly load their tools into their trucks and clean everything up - leaving your yard, driveway and sidewalks looking like they'd never been there. My next door neighbor commented that this was the cleanest he'd ever seen a construction crew leave a site.
Lastly, I'll let Eric post pictures and provide the details of his "artwork" - but if anyone is looking to install a proffessional pond system in their yard, these guys are top notch!! I've got a feeling a few of my neigbors are going to be calling Exotic Aquatics.
