Hi folks,

Well, the pond went in yesterday and we still can't believe the new view out of the windows looking into the back yard. Eric's crew showed up right on time at 8am and wrapped things up at about 3pm or so. We were blown away by the proffessionalism his crew showed throughout the process. What a class act!

I think the crew numbered about 8 guys, but to be honest, it's hard to be sure - seemed like guys in blue shirts everywhere at times! Part of the crew was digging, others hauling equipment, rocks, liner, etc.  Eric himself would alternate between the "end of a shovel" and playing "artist" with the rock formations. We just turned the yard over to them and tried to stay out of their way! And absolutely no worries about existing sprinkler lines, landscaping, etc. either.  The guys carefully dig around things and cap everything off around the pond.

Additionally, even with us trying to stay out of the way, Eric and his crew would take the time to explain things along the way. The entire filtration system was explained, whether it was demonstrateing the backflushing process, the skimmer box, the overflow system, - you name it. And there's no way to descibe the feeling when you insert the plug into the socket and watch, what was a lawn with a slope in your backyard, become a meandering water fall, bubbling it's way down into your new pond.

And to top things off, when finished, these guys quickly load their tools into their trucks and clean everything up - leaving your yard, driveway and sidewalks looking like they'd never been there.  My next door neighbor commented that this was the cleanest he'd ever seen a construction crew leave a site.

Lastly, I'll let Eric post pictures and provide the details of his "artwork" - but if anyone is looking to install a proffessional pond system in their yard, these guys are top notch!!  I've got a feeling a few of my neigbors are going to be calling Exotic Aquatics.

The Pond Digger
Hey All!

The Pond Diggers installed Grahams Pond over the weekend!  He ended up with a pond approximately 8' x 11' with a ten foot hillside waterfall and stream.  We used lots of wood in the construction phase of this project as a special request for Graham.  We will have a story to follow soon including the details on his engagement.

We found a girlfriend for Graham but didn't bring her along for the construction of the waterscape. We needed to complete this feature in a timely fashion and couldn't afford any distractions.  He doesn't even know yet!

We will return to Graham's Place very soon (with his woman) to get some afternoon photographs of the completed project.  As you will see in our final group picture, the shadow of the home was hanging over Grahams new pond.

We will have dozens of great photos in the Photo Gallery on our website in the next week or so of the complete construction process so stay tuned.

Congratulations Usher Family!

I also have been privledged to see the Pond Diggers in action.  I even flew from Minnesota to California to work along side this amazing group of people!  The pride and passion that they put into each project is very inspiring.
The owner, Eric Triplett, is a great human being and businessman that really knows how to balance the needs of his customers, co-workers and his wonderful family - keeping them all happy.  He is one great role model.

I am excited to see pictures of Graham in his new home!Cool

Here was an important moment in the pond construction phase when Graham and I were going over the in's and outs of the waterfall construction.

Graham wanted to be sure we had plenty of driftwood and basking areas in the stream and waterfalls.  Graham was very easy to build for because he knew exactly what he wanted yet gave me creative freedom.  Wink

We gave plenty of time for Graham to walk the excavation before we layed down the liner and rocked the house in!  As you can see his underground cave is roomy enough for two!  I can't wait to introduce him to his new girlfriend!  Cool

Here is a final shot of me and my Extraordinary Pond Construction Crew, The Pond Diggers®!  Without them all of the amazing things I do wouldn't be possible!
