Looking Back, Leaning Forward!
The Pond Digger
Well we did it!  Bottom Drain, Back Flush waterfall filter, installed an external pump, plumbed up a ultra violet sterelizer, mingled with Koi lovers, talked ponds, lifted rocks, flirted with bull frogs, laughed, had fun, eat hot dogs and built a pond with no gravel covering the liner!

Interestingly, we had participants at the event that were very pleased about not having gravel in the pond and the addition of a bottom drain and then there were participants that really didn't like looking at the wrinkles in the liner along with the name of the manufacturer printed all over the bottom of the pond.

These mixed feelings is just one of the many reasons that The Pond Digger Inc., and Exotic Aquatics is on a mission seeking out the best possible ways to hybridize a pond that incorporates all the things that will benefit koi to the maximum while still giving the wonderfully natural appearance that rocks and gravel in the pond provide.

I want to blast out a special thanks to all of the participants that stuck around all day waiting for us to finish up the project and of course give major props to all of the people that weren't afraid to get their hands dirty today!  Without the extra bodies working side by side with us we certainly would still be there trying to finish things up instead of being able to sit behind this computer and write.

Stay Tuned for a very special Pond Construction Seminar that I am planning for late June 2007!

Happy Pondering,

I was very hapy to have been able to attend this exciting pond event. We learned alot, got to meet some very nice people, it was a great day. I really like the part where we get to get our hands in the dirt and feel like we are part of the whole thing. Many thanks for all the staff that where on hand to answer the 100 or so questions that came up and the very nice B-B-Q. That is my kind of day. Jodi
The Pond Digger
The scary thing is Jodi got to see the real side of me when I was HUNGRY!  I think about half an hour before the B-B-Q got started my fangs came out and I started to get a little mean!  Cool

I just needed to eat!

HI Eric and Jodi

I also wanted to say thank you for all the help answering all my husbands and my questions. Was a really nice day out and loved interacting with everyone and meeting great people

Dont worry Eric your fangs didnt get too long...

Did Noah go out and redo the pond at Laguna I would love to see some photos.

Thanks again
Carrie Giovino

PS Eric I left you a message on Friday I wanted to know if you got the email my DH sent over to you about where to put our pond?

The Pond Digger
Hey thanks for the feedback on the pond event. I sure had a good time chatting with all of the pond addicts!

There still needs to be some touch up landscape and aquascaping to the pond. Noel has been too busy this last week to break free long enough to put the polishing touches to the water feature.

Had I known he was going to be short handed, I would of brought along a couple of my boys from The Pond Diggers waterscape construction team!

We will be announcing another Pond Construction Seminar very shortly that will reveal yet another Waterscape Design and Construction technique that I believe everyone will find extremely interesting!

Stay Tuned........
