I have a ton of lily pads in my pond and they are thriving, I love them, however, they are building bugs all over the top and when I hose them off they come back faster than ever. Any suggestions as to how to get these bugs away?
We use to get an Aphid spray for water gardens from Aquarium Pharmacuticals a couple of years ago that worked. Unfortunately, it is no longer available to us here in California for us pond peoples!
However the product maybe available in other states that aren't as strict!
We just spray the aphids off with the hose as needed and watch the mosquito fish go nuts on them! Also, when availabe we purchase lady bugs from the local nursery. The lady bug is a natural predator to the aphid.
