I just notice it is very quite by the pond at night. Just a few weeks ago you couldn't hear anything for the frogs and now not a sound. Did they leave?

Same with my pond! A few weeks ago it was deafening!!! Now nothing..but I know they are still there. I just saw one this morning...I'm thinking may be they only croak during mating season? Just a thought!

Thanks for your reply. My frogs are always hiding so I didn't know if they were still out there or not. Maybe I can look a little closer. Did see one of the herons looking for lunch. Hope my scarecrow is up for the job.

Yeah..the frogs usually hide on me too. I just happen to be out there right before dawn and I don't think he saw me at first...He took one look at me and hopped in the water..lol

I know what I would like to do with the Blue Herons but unfortunately it's against the law...lol! Seriously though my fishing line seems to be keeping them out.
