Just wondering if the American Pond kits have a backflush plug? And if there isn't one should one be put on or does this unit not need to have one?
Does the American Pond Kits come with an instruction booklet?

Backflush on the American Pond Kit? YES & NO.
The American Pond Kits don't come plumbed and ready for the backflush option but can certainly be modified to have the backflush option.
The DIY American Pond Kits is not as friendly for the Backflush option as the Pro Series American Pond Kit but none the less it is possible on both units.
We are currently updating text for on line information and support for this option in the American Pond Kit line. Backflush in biological waterfall filters is still fairly new and will undoubtedly be a direction that all manufacturers of quality pond products will offer.
We are currently working with American Pond Kits to give them a more comprehensive set of instructions for home owners and professional pond builders as we speak for both the ponds and pondless waterfall kits.
The written and photographed instructions won't be ready till late Fall so if there is anything we can do to help assist you in the mean time let us know.
