THE POND TOUR COUNT DOWN!
The Original Moonlight Pond Tour, right here in Redlands, California is less than 6 days away.  Tell your fish, family and friends this is The Moonlight Pond Tour that started them all!  A mandatory, must attend fund raising charity event!

I have no doubt this will be our finest tour ever!  We have had more ticket sales in the last two weeks than we have ever had in previous years!  Make a difference for your favorite charity and spend the evening with us this coming weekend!  Friday October 26th from 5pm to 10 pm & Saturday October 27th from 2pm to 10pm!

WHAT'S IN STORE FOR TOUR GOERS...
This year, The Original Moonlight Pond Tour will give you the opportunity to slow down and enjoy the company of fish, family, friends, and fellow waterscape enthusiasts.  We have limited the number of tour stops to 12, like our ORIGINAL MOONLIGHT EVENT back in 2000, to keep the pace of the tour both fun & relaxing.  There will be 17 different water features on display, with 6 never before seen & recently improved waterscapes, including a NEW ROCK COLUMN FOUNTAIN display!

We have taken the advice of many pond tour participants and have put forth painstaking measures to make this tour booklet our best ever!  All of the Puddle Jumps are within a 5 square mile radius!  We have simplified the map to a one page center spread.

We have included written directions and complete addresses with zip codes for the GPS’ers on the tour.  We have increased the viewing time on Saturday to give everyone more opportunity to enjoy these features, in both daylight and moonlight.  Look for directional signs to pull you into each and every pond stop.

Our unique fund raiser continues to support our local Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation as well as many other deserving organizations.  Local schools and horticulture clubs are selling tickets to generate funds for their gardening programs.  Our local ROP is selling tickets to fund their classroom projects this year and we are very proud to help to fund The Moonridge Animal Park in Big Bear, California.  We even have plans to rebuild a pond in their Heron enclosure!  After all, Herons need ponds too!

Fiber optic lighting, foggers, low-voltage nightscape lighting, disappearing waterfalls, water gardens, hybrid Koi ponds, Rock Column Fountains, turtle habitats, glow-light necklaces, colored lighting, Ponds For Schools, a Japanese Water Garden, Jack-O-Lanterns galore, romantic ponds, terrestrial plantings specific for moonlight evenings, night-blooming water lilies, waterfalls, waterfalls, waterfalls and the list goes on.  There is a little something for everyone on the Moonlight Pond Tour.

Whether you are simply reading this by CHANCE or the Law of Attraction has delivered this opportunity to you; you will be moved by water in one way or another during our special event.  Be it visually, audibly or emotionally, you will be touched by the undeniable powers that water offers the human spirit.   Similar to the guarantee The Law of Gravity offers; you can rely on the Moonlight Pond Tour to illuminate every fall, right here in Redlands, on the weekend closest to the full moon!

10,000 Dollar in Funds for Charity is our Goal!
Traditionally each season our Moonlight Pond Tour generates 3 to 4 thousand dollars for our charities and non profit organizations.  Our goal this year is to generate 10 thousand dollars!  With a little help I know we can get it done!

Here is how you can help.  Tell your fish, family and friends!  Call our office if you can put up a 8 x 11 Pond Tour poster at your work, grocery store or favorite coffee shop.  If you live out of state, don't use that as an excuse there is this marvelous mode of transportation called; A PLANE!  Tell your garden club friends, koi club buddies, turtle & tortoise club members, relatives, neighbors.  Give your kids another chance to wear their Halloween Costume!

I even have a special offer up my sleeve to help us meet this special fund raising goal!  Each month we sign ten to fifteen contracts for New Waterscpe Construction.  For every waterscape installation contract that we sign in the month of November that mentions THE MOONLIGHT POND TOUR 10,000 Dollar Fund Raising Goal we will donate 500.00 dollars to their favorite charity or non profit organization.  I'm not talking about get yourself a new car charity!  Cool  I'm talking Juvenille Diabetes Research Foundation!  American Heart Association, Your Garden Club, Your Koi Club, Your School Garden Program, Santa Claus, Inc., Breast Cancer Foundation or something like that!  Tell your fish, family & friends and we'll see you this weekend!

Let me send out a very special thanks to Micobe Lift! Within just a couple hours of this post the owner of Microbe Lift sent me an email with the promise of a very generous donation to our local chapter of Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation!

It brought goose bumps to my arms as I read the email and it brought tears to my wifes eyes when I told her the news!  This just solidifies my faith that we will raise 10,000 dollars for our local charities and non profit organizations this November!

Tell your you fish, family & friends to come on out and support our special fund raising event!  The Original Moonlight Pond Tour, Friday October 26th & Saturday October 27th!

The Pond Digger
Hey All,

I wanted to take the time to give you an update on our 6th Annual Moonlight Pond Tour, if you didn’t have the opportunity to make it to our event this year.  Even though the smoke from the tragic fires blotted out the brilliance of the full moon on our special weekend, we took a stand to offer the community a peaceful and tranquil escape.

If you would like a copy of our pond tour booklet for your enjoyment and learning experience, just let me know.  Remaining booklets are limited so don't hesitate to let me know.  If you grab a booklet you can take the time to flip though it and meet our charities, read the latest edition of our 2007 Blue Heron Warning Report, see our 365 Pond Tour Stops, check out what we’ve been up to, where we’ve been, and what you missed!  You will be able to visit our 365 Pond Tour Stops but of course do not visit the private residences listed in the book.

During this year’s Moonlight Tour we were visited by a Giant Blue Heron, live and in person after 8:30 PM, at our traditional Jack-O-Lantern Display!  I chose a special pebble from the edge of one of the first ponds I ever built that I now keep in my pocket to remind me of all that I am thankful for. We celebrated two different 40th birthdays with tour goers, connected with old acquaintances and made new friends.  We listened to my best friend’s Rock & Roll band on the radio for the first time ever and cooked SMORES over an open flame while we mourned the loss of my parent’s home in Arrowhead.

In the wake of the Moonlight Pond Tour we have generated another couple thousand dollars for our local charities, including a generous donation from one of my business vendors and brought cheer and encouragement to the community I know and love.  As I am sure you know me well enough by now, I am looking to reach for higher goals in both attendance and funds raised for next year’s event.

We will be looking for comments, ideas, suggestions and HELP to make the 2008 Moonlight Pond Tour the best ever!  We’ve already picked the date for the 2008 tour, so mark your calendar, now! The 2008, 7th Annual Moonlight Pond Tour is Friday, October 17th & Saturday, October 18th.

If you’d like to take an active role in generating funds for your favorite charity, participating in the pond tour’s organizational process, or showing your pond on the tour, please send me an email or call our office and let us know and we will send you a private invitation to our first annual pond tour committee dinner to be held sometime in January 2008.

Our heart felt empathy goes out to all that were affected by the fires.
