Fun News Everyone!
My Aquatic Plant Expert, Mike is crazy about semi-aqautic turtles! In fact so crazy that he has over a dozen on them at home in his backyard pond!
About three days ago he called me excited like a ten year old boy to tell me that he was out by his pond and he found a turtle no bigger than a silver dollar!
Earlier in the year he was doing some terestrial planting in some planters next to the pond and came across some turtle eggs! It freaked him out because he didn't want to damage them of course!
Well, he carefully covered them back up and forgot about them until now when he found a little one running around his yard!
Then this morning he tells me that he found another one! Now if you know Mike just a little bit you will know that is now crawling around for hours each night after work tring to find more little baby semi-aquatic turtles!
Mike has taken the time to set up an aquarium indoors to protect the little ones from predators and to give them a little extra shelter for the winter months that are fast approaching!
Mike lives in Upland, California and loves to head home to his turtle pond each and every night even though he lives and breaths ponds each and every day at work!
