I am new to the forum, from the east coast (Chesapeake Bay) and I am looking for some guidance.  I am starting to dig a pond at my new home.  This is not the first pond I have ever had but it is the first one I am doing myself.  I think when I am done digging it will be about 3500 gallons.  It is about 17 X 11 with a small waterfall/stream.  The average depth will be 2.5 feet.  I am trying to decide on the right waterfall filter, skimmer and pump.  I have been considering Savio and after reading some of the pond digger coments looked at Russell's hydrovortex and the hydro clean.  I have also looked at some products by aquaticeco.  I want high quality, high performance items.  I would appreciate any help the "pond digger" or others could offer.  Many thanks,

Hi Pisces,

We wrapped up our big Moonlight Pond Tour Event last week and are still recovering! Cool

We have a short interview process that we do over the phone that takes just a couple of minutes. Once we have all of your answers then we make suggestions to your design accordingly.

I would certainly take the time to do the interview with you over the forum but since we lost a couple of days because I was tending to the Moonlight Pond Tour and the fact that I am running away on business for a day or of two I don't want you to have to wait much longer.

Call our office TOLL FREE at 800-522-5043 and let us walk you through the interview and put you on the right track. I'll tell my staff to expect your call.

Once we get you dialed in maybe we can pick up here on the forum to keep everyone in the loop with your new pond construction.

Thanks,

Hi-  I am still trying to decide.  I got a packet of info. from the Exotic Aquatics and they sent me info on various equipment including Oase and Flowranger.  I would really like to hear what others on this forum are using for a pump, filter and skimmer.  Are there any favorite proven products that pond people are excited and in love with????  I am anxiously awaiting a response!

Here are some photos Picses has asked me to post for her.  Looks like fun!  Depending on the actual dimensioins of the pond you build, with all of that leaf debris you may want to consider two skimmer on the pond. Surely they will need to be able to handle a substantial load of leaves.

The Flow Ranger Skimmer is probably out because it won't have the capacity to capture the leave debris without you dumping the leaf basket several times a day.

I can get you the specs on the EasyPro skimmer.  I beleive you will be best off with that skimmer.
