I just received your mailer telling me about your Spring Pond Care Seminars (& the the on-line version too). I can't wait! I had to rearrange my schedule to be there, but I wouldn't miss it.

This is my first Spring and I'm hesitant to perform my Spring Cleanout. I'm just not sure what to do.

Last weekend I cleaned out some of the landscaping that had gotten overgrown and even repotted my lillies. That warm spell we had here in the Inland Empire is waking up my ecosystem. My lillies have already sprouted - the leaves of one will reach the surface this week! Even the mini cattails are sprouting.

I know I need to cleanout the waterfall and probably the gravel, but I'll wait and see what the experts do before attempting it on my own.

Thanks for all your great help. Owning a pond has been more rewarding than I thought possible.

Hey Connie,

Great to see your excitement.  Have no fear, we'll walk you through the process so you feel like a pro!  I'm glad you had the ability to re-schedule your plans in order to attend the seminar.

All of the aquatic plants at our grow out facility are popping right now!  We still could have a cold snap up til March 15th, so contain your excitement just incase we freeze one more time!  Wink

Here is a sneak peak at our new forum style!  We're still working hard to build it all but take a look at the story book style photos.  Here are progression shots of the feature we did at Orangewood High School just yesterday.  Of course, I still have 50 or more photos to post.

We already did the photo shoot for the spring clean out.  I just need to get it loaded into the forum!  Cool

See ya soon!

I love the new format. It reminds me of how I tried to chronicle the day when my pond was built. I just missed a few steps when my clients stopped in and I had to deal with them instead of watching the progress. (I posted my pictures in my online photo gallery (http://www.cjmedia.com/gallery/main.php?g2_itemId=19).

I'm sure hoping we don't get a freeze before Spring arrives. We haven't had a freeze here yet. My water only dipped to 50 degrees once. The plants still went through their winter phase, but I thankfully didn't have any unexpected plant loss.

Looking forward to enjoying my first Spring as a pond owner, can't wait to see what surprises await me!
