To Whom It May Concern,
I would like to thank Morgan Creek Nursery for offering Build A Pond Day. Your pond was beatiful! It was like magic before my eyes-it appeared. I have wanted a pond with a waterfall for as long as I can remember. The water has a calming affect on me, like nothing else. But I've decided I want to give my pond to my father-in-law.
Why, you ask?
My father-in-law is a loving family man, he is self-employed and takes care of his whole family. He's like Superman-he works 6-7 days a week, 10-15 hours a day! He's NO Spring Chicken! He just turned 72 the 1st of this month, but he thinks he's 20. He thinks as long as he keeps finding custom jobs for us to paint, his son, grandson, granddaughter will make it. The family works together.
That was well + good until 3 weeks ago-he had a massive heart attack, (we almost lost him). I married his son when I was 16 yrs. old. So he's like my real Dad. My mom & dad both passed away (3 yrs. ago). So he is all I have left. The doctor told him to slow down, (retire basically). He is NOT the type for that! He has never been seriously sick in his life. He has always worked harder + longer than anyone I know. In his home, he has always had a pond of some kind. Believe me-NOTHING like the one you built. It was always made with what he had laying around; bricks, cinder blocks, what ever. The ponds were nice. He + his wife loved them and all the gold fish they had.
He is suppose to take it EASY now! No lifting or strenuous work, so that means he won't be able to build a pond on their patio where they just moved, like they wanted to do. I would love to look at him + say, "OK Dad, where did you want that pond? And then look at you guys + say, "OK guys, work your magic! He's always working + trying to make sure the family has what it needs.
I think he deserves something in return!
Sincerely,
Calimesa, California
